OROVILLE - A former Chico Girl Scout leader drew a 45-day jail term after pleading "no contest" Tuesday to embezzling about $2,500 in proceeds from her troop's annual cookie sale.
Cara Lamumba, 40, who has reportedly repaid the entire amount, declined comment Tuesday on the advice of her attorney.
Under a plea bargain, the District Attorney's Office agreed to reduce charges against her from a felony to a misdemeanor.
