Steven R. Lee has a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Chico in Computer Science.  He was briefly employed by California State University, Fresno as a computer programmer for the Message Center at Bulldog Stadium.

He taught Computer Assembly & Repair Technology for Pacific Technical Institute, Inc. (Sacramento) in their Chico, California campus facilities.

Steve and the staff at PTI was "absorbed" by Sierra West Academy when it was announced that they would be buying the campus facility operations in Chico.

In December 2000, Steve and his wife Carol, along with Rich and Cindy Varlinsky and fellow PTI/Sierra West Academy instructor, Cara Lamumba, jointly started a technical school known as Destiny College.  Steve was the Vice President of the parent corporation (VLL Enterprises, Inc.) and became the head of the Computer Science Department at Destiny College.

Some of the programs offered in the CSci Dept at Destiny were: Computer Assembly and Repair Technology, Computer Assembly & Network Connectivity, and Web Site Graphics & Design Technology. Steve also taught short courses in Using Adobe PageMaker, Using Microsoft Office, Introduction to Database Design, Introduction to Computer Programming, Introduction to MS FrontPage 2003, Introduction to Macromedia Studio 8.

Steve currently owns and operates Bet-R-Byte Web Design & Domain Hosting company based in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where he resides with his wife Carol.
